Why You Should Choose a Keyword Rich Niche Domain Name

Choosing a Niche Domain Name is probably the most important part of building a Niche Website. There are many things to think about while building a Niche Website: type of site to build, using WordPress or other blogging systems, selling advertising, putting AdSense on the website, eBay listings and what affiliate programs and affiliate products you are going to promote on your site. All of these things are very important to making money from your website, but you won’t make any money if you don’t get any traffic.

There are several ways to get traffic to your website. The first way we are going to cover is Organic Search Results. Organic Search Results are the most profitable because they are free. This is traffic that comes from people who search for your niche topic at search engines such as Google, MSN, AskJeeves, IWON, AOLSearch and any of the other of hundreds of search engines out there. If you have performed correct Search Engine Optimization (SEO), or you get really lucky, your sites will come up on the front page and maybe in the first few listings. Although many Search Engine Optimizers disagree on the many things that effect search engine rankings, most will tell you that a Keyword Rich domain name is probably the most important factor in determining the search engine rankings of your niche website.

Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is another very popular way of driving traffic to your site. I don’t have the time or the space to cover Pay Per Click advertising in this brief article. Basically, you pay the search engines to list your niche website at or near the top of the page when a searcher enters your keywords into their search engine. There are many factors that determine how much you are going to pay for each click. While the most important factor in determining your cost is the amount of competition for the keywords you are advertising for, another factor is the quality score of your page. One of the factors of the most popular Pay Per Click Search Engine Program, Google Adwords, uses is the Quality Score of your website. Your Quality Score depends on how well your site provides information to the searcher. A good keyword rich domain name will help your Quality Score get higher, and a higher Quality Score will lower your Pay Per Click costs and help you make more money.

Another FREE type of traffic is more common than you might think. It’s called Type In Traffic. This is were an Internet User just enters the keywords they are looking for and adds a “.com” to the end. If someone enters keywords into a browser address bar the browser might bring them to your site. These are just two reasons to get a Keyword Rich Domain name.
